We are a volunteer based, registered 501c3 non profit Animal Shelter looking to grow and become fully operational. We have not previously received a grant nor sorporate partnerships. We are a start-up and need all of the help we can get to continue doing great work for the animals.
We know that fundraising is a HUGE importance and lifeline for us to grow as an organization and be more impactful, especially post COVID.

We are in need of volunteers who are passionate and knowledgable about fundraising, donor search, etc...
We are looking for someone who has roughly 5-10 hours a week to contribute. While we continue to research the best and most realisitic fundraising options that are a good fit for us, we need someone more experienced in fundraising having to do with Animal Shelters, Rescue, Spay/Neuter, Animal Food, Products, Purchase of Property to operate, etc... Needless to say, we are in dire need.

A Volunteer Fundraising coordinator would be responsible for coordinating different fundraising tasks on behalf of CEMEVA Foundation. They are in charge of creating different strategies for effective fundraising. These individuals complete different administrative tasks, such as filling out paperwork, distributing fundraising materials, and responding to correspondences.

They identify fundraising opportunities and present these findings in organization meetings. They strive to save costs and use less resources in their projects. They also call possible donors, as well as people who can help complete projects more effectively.

They possess strong interpersonal abilities to communicate with different professionals. They work well with other coordinators and assistants to complete tasks in an efficient manner, but they can also multitask effectively by themselves.

They use a personal computer to create word documents, respond to emails, and create presentations, so they are proficient with spreadsheets and word processing software. They may work in an office environment and develop strong business relationships with vendors and important contributors. They are organized and facilitate fundraising efforts by executing plans, based on organization requirements.

Volunteer Fundraising coordinators help organize community events for the benefit of the organization. They contact businesses and explain their purpose and how their help can contribute to solve different problems.

A high school diploma is required for this job. In addition, previous years of work experience as a fundraising coordinator is helpful. Industry certifications are a plus, references are necessary as is a related college degree but not required.
