This internship and hours/days of work are to be negotiated to meet the needs of the intern and specific time requirements for college credits.

Work with case supervisors to develop intake and case file set up of referrals made to the CASA program by the Juvenile Court Judge, social workers, probation officers and other referral sources. Assist volunteer supervisors with maintaining communication on the status of all case referrals via phone contact with referring party.

Attend court to monitor waitlisted cases as needed, under the supervision of staff, the intern will have duties that include the research necessary to build a file of data necessary to match the child's case to the CASA advocate who will mentor and oversee the child's case as it travels through the court system.

Intern will be expected to learn the electronic case system, do file research and work hand in hand with the Executive Director and Case Supervisor to meet the needs of the agency, volunteers and youth we serve.

Will be asked to observe strict confidentiality rules and will review highly confidential and restricted files and data.
