Serving on the Women Connection Inc board of directors is a major commitment. Our mission is to empower homeless women and children so that they are enabled to overcome hardships.

The WCI Board of Directors is composed of leaders from nonprofit and for profit sectors who dedicated to our organization mission. A board member will commit to serving on WCI board for a two year term. A board member should be supportive and passionate about our mission, and help the board fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities. Board members will attend meetings ( normally the first Saturday of month , and conference call meeting as needed) to discuss special projects and general functioning of the organization as well as serve on at least one committee ( maybe a one member committee) Board members will attend special events, identify potential donors, and help with fundraising activities.

We are looking of people

• At least 30 years old
• Compassionate and dedicated to the development of young people (women and children)
• A team player who is able to present progressive ideas for our organization, respectful of the officers, students, and volunteers.
• Willing to invest financially and/ or have access to obtain funding
• Experience with one or more of the following skills:

Grant writing
Organizing and implementing programs for the women and children
Fundraising
Administrative policies and procedures
Financials
Be ready for the March 2023
