Direct & manage a core aspect of the operations of a small nonprofit tech startup.
One of HomeAgain's primary activities is producing virtual experiences that act as icebreakers/tools to facilitate one on one social interactions between our members. Dozens of tour builders, photograph donors, and writers have come together produce HomeAgain's 50+ virtual experiences.
As the Director Of Virtual Experiences (The "DOVE") you will work directly with the CEO, CTO, and a team of other volunteers to produce these experiences.
The DOVE will:
- search for photographers who want to help with the mission by donating content
- source photographs for specific experiences (e.g., one of our most recent experiences is a 360 tour of Argentina)
- Research and write scripts for experiences
- Construct experiences using HomeAgain's built-in-house software
- Recruit volunteers to assist in building tours
- Coordinate a team of HomeAgain Tour Builder volunteers and writers

Description
Acquaint is a nonprofit peacebuilding organization that works to heal divisions and prevent conflict. Enthusiastic volunteers from over countries connect on our website for one-on-one conversations to share culture and perspectives.
Interactions on Acquaint are made easier and more fun by a series of virtual icebreakers. By listening and sharing with one another, we work to build peace and global solidarity. This is "cultural networking" and it has the power to gradually erode barriers of prejudice and misunderstanding that divide humanity.
Each week, volunteers enter their availability on the platform and are paired for sessions based on their time. Pairings are random. Volunteers could end up talking to someone right down the street or on the other side of the world. Either way, there is much they can learn from each other!
