Join K9 Youth Alliance's Board of Directors and help empower young people from under-resourced communities and enrich the lives of abandoned dogs.

We are a small, grassroots nonprofit with a mission to empower youth and enrich the lives of shelter dogs through the human animal bond. Our board of directors is a working board, meaning its members do much of the work of the organization and are vital to our success!

The ideal board candidate is inspired by transformative power of the human-animal bond, self-motivated, ready to get to work and be actively involved on a team. Board members commit to an annual financial give, participating in fundraising activities and volunteering in at least one program a year.

K9YA is dedicated to diversity and honors the important contributions that individuals with lived experience can make to the team. We are especially interested in individuals with skills and interest in: fundraising, nonprofit growth, digital marketing, events and strategic planning.
