Each year Marin Community Clinics gives out over 5000 new and gently used books to children coming to the clinic. Besides taking care of children’s physical health, Marin Community Clinics promotes the importance of reading. Each clinic branch that has a pediatric department has a book shelf from which every child can choose a book to take home.
Volunteer Book Nook Angels check and restock the books each week. It takes less than an hour for a volunteer to see that each child will have a book of their very own. Do you have an hour a week to make sure that our shelves are ready for a child to choose a book?
If you are interested, please let us know.
Help us promote literacy. Your reward will be a smile and a thank you from an appreciative reader.
