Each year Marin Community Clinics gives out over 5000 new and gently used books to children coming to the clinic. Besides taking care of children’s physical health, Marin Community Clinics promotes the importance of reading. Each clinic branch that has a pediatric department has a book shelf from which every child can choose a book to take home.

Volunteer Book Nook Angels check and restock the books each week. It takes less than an hour for a volunteer to see that each child will have a book of their very own. Do you have an hour a week to make sure that our shelves are ready for a child to choose a book?

If you are interested, please let us know.

Help us promote literacy. Your reward will be a smile and a thank you from an appreciative reader.

Mission Statement

Marin Community Clinics is a multi-clinic network with a wide array of primary care, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide vital health services to more than 38,000 insured and uninsured patients annually. Marin Community Clinics means a healthier Marin County for everyone. Our Mission: To improve the health of our patients and community by providing high quality, cost-effective, culturally sensitive, patient-centered health care.

Description

Since 1972, Marin Community Clinics has provided compassionate and comprehensive health care to ALL residents of Marin County. We have grown from humble beginnings where volunteer physicians and nurses saw patients in church basements, to a 21st century provider with modern facilities, highly expert paid physicians and nurses, the latest technology, and sophisticated diagnostic, treatment and prevention programs. Today, we serve over 38,000 individuals every year in our nine clinics spread throughout Marin County.

We expand and adapt to meet the growing health care needs of our community. The implementation of new clinics and programs are essential for Marin Community Clinics to continue being a health home for all residents of Marin County. We count on the support of our donors and community partners like YOU to help us provide these vital services and upgrades.
