The Friends of WFPL Downtown Book Store resells gently used books and media items. The funds raised are used to fund children's programs at our libraries. The store is open Monday through Saturday. We are currently seeking individuals to volunteer for a shift once a week, twice a month, etc. Shifts are 10am-12:30pm and 12:30pm to 3:00pm. Come be part of a great cause!

Mission Statement
The mission of the Friends of WFPL is to advocate for literacy and learning by expanding and fostering the availability of resources for the West Florida Public Library and other community initiatives.
Description
The Friends of WFPL is a non-profit 501(c)(3). The organization was founded in 1973, and is made up of volunteers whose primary purpose is to support the mission of the West Florida Public Library System and to help enhance its services to the community. Over the past 50 years, the Friends have raised more than $2 million to build new library locations and support children’s summer reading programs, adult learning and many other activities and events that create a stronger community.
