As the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the NV Sr Games, you'll need an accounting background and knowledge of basic Excel. You'll prepare our budget, update our cash flow statement each month for our Board meetings, and prepare various online returns. Our current Treasurer will teach you the ropes. No payroll, only 3 contractors who get 1099s at year end. Fewer than 15 monthly checks written. Cash not accrual method. You will attend ( in person or virtually) monthly Board meetings. Looking for people wanting to help advance the cause of Senior Health and Fitness in our community! Our Board has varied business backgrounds paired with experience and love for sport. We are an official state member of the National Senior Games Association.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Nevada Senior Games, Inc. is: To promote the health and fitness of adults 50 years of age and older. Primary emphasis is within the state of Nevada, but we welcome seniors world-wide to participate in our activities. We are an official state member of the National Senior Games Association.

Our goals are to:
1. Encourage older adults to undertake and continue in a health and fitness-oriented lifestyle.
2. Promote good health and physical fitness for older adults in Nevada and world-wide by providing information, education and inspiration through year-round activities, workshops, seminars and other pro-active events.
3. Provide forums for older adults to compete with their peers and to receive recognition for their efforts and achievements in an atmosphere of friendship and support.
4. Focus public attention on the importance of regular activity/exercise as a way to achieve and preserve better health, especially among older adults.
5. Promote a positive image of older adult communities, including opportunities for positive role-modeling.

REQUIREMENTS
- Second Tues of each month for approx. 1.5 hours. We ask our Board members to brainstorm for outreach efforts for sponsorships or promotional opportunities for our annual Games.
- If time allows, volunteer at various competitions during the NV Sr Games Sept/Oct of each year - working reg table, handing out shirts. If you have specific experience for one of our sports listed on our website, you'd be especially valuable!
