About Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest

Location:

5800 Baker Road, Suite 120, Minnetonka, MN 55345, US

Mission Statement

RAGOM rescues, fosters, and finds forever homes for Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes in need.

Description

WHO WE ARE:

Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest (RAGOM) is a volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Active operations are concentrated in Minnesota, Iowa, North and South Dakota and western Wisconsin. In cooperation with other rescues, RAGOM facilitates adoptions outside our operational territory if there are no adoptive families matching a particular rescued dog’s needs within our service area.

HOW WE CARE FOR DOGS:

Rescued dogs receive comprehensive medical care including a complete veterinary exam, updated vaccinations and a microchip, and each is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. While in RAGOM’s care, dogs live as part of a family in loving foster homes where they are fed, groomed, socialized, and begin to learn basic manners. Foster families provide ongoing temperament assessment for each dog to determine what qualities should be present in an ideal forever home, and then match the dog with an approved adoptive family.

We have been actively rescuing dogs for almost 35 years and, in that time, we've rescued and re-homed over 9,000 dogs.
