We need volunteers to pick up food boxes from Trader Joes in Redmond on Tuesdays and Target in Redmond on Fridays at 9:00 am and deliver them to Imagine Housing communities. The time commitment is from 9-11pm approximately.
Imagine Housing provides affordable homes for some of our community's most vulnerable residents, including seniors, people with disabilities, and extremely low-income families who were formerly homeless. Despite having a stable, affordable home, many of our residents need additional support including healthy food. Volunteer support allows us to offer home delivery of basic needs and food items to those who are unable to travel themselves to a food bank due to age, disability, or other factor. This service helps residents remain stable and healthy.
Food boxes are large, and require lifting up to about 35 lbs. There could be up to 15 banana boxes worth of food items. Once you arrive at the Imagine Housing community, you can use a cart to unload and deliver the boxes.
