Seeking a Big Sister who has experience working with children with trauma for Sarah, an 11 yo girl living with her grandparents in Framingham. Sarah enjoys doing arts and crafts, window shopping at the mall, getting her nails done, going out to eat, mini golf, bowling, swimming, and visits to movies and the arcade. Due to her trauma history, the right Big Sister will be in her 20's or early 30's and have some experience with kids and experience in the mental health profession. The best fit Big will be warm and friendly, but also comfortable setting limits and boundaries. Volunteers must be 21+ and agree to see Sarah, 2x/mo, 2-4 hours, mostly on weekends, and make at least a year commitment. Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) welcomes everyone regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. Car required. Match Support provided by Clinical Match Specialists. Check out our website at www.jbbbs.org. Sign up to volunteer today at www.jbbbs.org/volunteer. Contact Tania@jbbbs.org for more information.
