Pet Therapy helps to encourage movement and physical stimulation in hospice patients. It also provides numerous mental benefits for hospice patients like socialization, mental stimulation, companionship, and love. We are looking for pet therapists and pets who are passionate about all the benefits they bring and would like to contribute to the quality of life and joy of a person who has a limited life expectancy. Pet therapy certification is required.

***Volunteers are required to follow CDC guidelines, Ascend Hospice policy and practices, and facility requirements for infection control. At this time, we require volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to protect our vulnerable population of patients.
