SOFL

Special Olympics Unified Sports(r) combines people with (traditional Special Olympics athletes) and without intellectual disabilities (called Unified partners) on sports teams for training and competition; dramatically increasing inclusion in the community and using sports to help break down barriers that have historically kept people apart.

Special Olympics Florida - Polk County is looking for volunteers to play Unified Softball with Special Olympics Athletes from August-November.

Join us on Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm and build relationships through softball.

Description

Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
