Hello from Mother Brook Arts and Community Center!!!
We are so excited to be planning our 14th Annual Open Studios event for October 23rd & 24th, 11am-5pm. In anticipation of welcoming over 1,000 guests to our community art and performance center, we are planning a Cleanathon for Thursday, October 21. We are confident that enough artists and volunteers can come together to make our space squeaky clean!
Our building is big, so there is plenty of opportunity for folx to help out in anyway they can. We have a morning and an evening shift. We will have pizza in the evening for anyone coming from work/school who needs to be fed!
Participants of the Cleanathon will be provided with all materials and equipment. PLEASE NOTE that we happily accept donations of paper towels, clean rags, multipurpose cleaning solution, etc. if you would like to donate! We will have volunteers assigned to various areas of the building for cleaning so that we stay organized and the building is cleaned thoroughly. You are encouraged to bring a vacuum as our supply is limited.
This is a great opportunity for students needing to fulfill volunteer service, as well as anyone else interested in lending a hand to their community art studio. As a thank you, all volunteers will receive a small token of appreciation from one of our ceramic artists!
