Do you have repair knowledge and a willingness to help your neighbors repair stuff?
Mechanical, electrical, furniture, jewelry, countertop appliances - whatever your interests, you can help folks fix household items and save money, and keep good stuff out of the landfill.
Coaches don’t need to be experts. They are just regular folks who have learned how to fix stuff through their career, hobby, school or just plain necessity. Coaches all have different interest areas - jewelry, radios, electronics, metalworking, Kitchen Aid mixers, sewing machines, etc.More opportunities with Repair Café NC

About Repair Café NC

Mission Statement
Repair Café NC is a local part of a global movement to raise awareness of the value of repair as a talent that everyone can develop and benefit from. When things break, we have more options than simply "throw away and buy new."
Description
A Repair Café event is simple: Volunteers with repair experience (we call them "coaches") bring a toolbox of their favorite and most useful tools. Guests bring their broken household items - anything from jewelry to furniture, tabletop appliances to lamps, toys to garden tools. We match a guest with a coach and together they examine, diagnose and attempt a repair.
Since 2017, Repair Café NC has been holding local workshops where neighbors have diverted hundreds of pounds from the landfill, learned new skills, and made new friendships.
