Volunteer two days a month and give a Veteran access to medical care (Beach, ND)
The Volunteer Transportation Network (VTN) is run in conjunction with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), The Center for Development & Civic Engagement at the Fargo VA, and local Veterans Service offices. VTN guidelines permit volunteers to transport Veterans using privately-owned or DAV vans to VA authorized medical care at no cost to the Veteran.
Coordinators will screen and schedule Veterans for pick up by volunteers from designated locations in the following cities:
Minot, Cavalier, Grand Forks, Bismarck, Wahpeton
Bemidji, Crookston, Park Rapids, Wheaton, Their River Falls, Roseau
Veterans are transported to and from designated locations to approved VA facilities to include the Fargo VA.
Veterans must be capable of entering/exiting the vehicles unassisted.
When available, volunteers are encouraged to use DAV vehicles to transport Veterans.
For more information on the process or becoming a driver, please contact
Steven Sanders at the Fargo VA (701-239-3700 ext. 3396)
