The Autoimmune Community Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to autoimmune health equity through community-centered services and support. Our work includes community-based participatory research on quality of life needs in addition to other health concerns shared by the autoimmune community. We work to ensure that diverse voices and identities are welcomed and included in research and in community programs.
We are seeking Wellness teachers and experts to lead classes and participate in events for our autoimmune community (schedule is flexible for general classes), as well as in our November wellness event (date TBD for this special event).
We are seeking teachers for classes such as meditation, nutrition, tai chi, exercise, dance, and mindfulness/visualization, self defense, etc. to serve our diverse autoimmune community. This can be a one time event, series of events, or a monthly event.
Please note that this is a nonprofit organization and your class will be a tax-deductible donation.
Please apply only if you are dedicated to our mission of autoimmune health equity.
Ideally, you are aware of autoimmune and chronic diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, Hashimoto's, multiple sclerosis, etc. Practitioners of color are encouraged to apply.
If you are interested in connecting with us and joining our volunteer meeting, we meet on the 3rd Wednesday monthly. RSVP/get more details at info@acicommunity.org.
