Tacoma Rescue Mission

Life these days requires basic computer skills, but not everyone has them.

The Tacoma Rescue Mission offers wrap around services to our clients and one of those services is teaching Basic Computer Skills through our Career Development Center.

If you have a basic knowledge of computers including: turning on/off a computer, printing, email (Gmail), saving documents, including attachments, MS Office, Outlook calendar, etc and have an hour each week, we can use your help!

We will provide the curriculum and training. You'll be working in our Computer Lab one-on-one with a client or with a very small group.

Times available are:
Monday 10:30am - 11:30am
Wednesday 10:30am - 11:30am
Thursday 11:00am - noon

About Tacoma Rescue Mission

425 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA 98402, US

Mission Statement

We help all people; including clients, volunteers, donors and staff, to become their best. We provide emergency services such as shelter and food to the homeless or hurting; offer self-sufficiency programs to help lift a person from poverty and break the chains of addiction; support prevention programs and share our Christian faith.

Without your gift of service, we are not able to accomplish the work we do. By volunteering, you are able to walk alongside those in need throughout our community and be a symbol of hope to the hurting individuals that are experiencing homelessness. Whether you are an individual, family or group, we would love to find a volunteer opportunity for you!
