Zion is in need of a volunteer lawyer with both real estate and bankruptcy knowledge, skills and abilities such as:

Real Estate Specialty

• strong drafting and transactional skills. Experience with leasing
• focus primarily on commercial real estate
• act as litigators or handle the legal aspects of real estate transactions or/and mediate real estate transactions gone sour.
• real estate transaction preparation and contract negotiation
• preparation and review of documents and the negotiation of terms and conditions
• step in and go to court to represent the case
• Legal advocate, use of expert litigation skills in a dispute
• Excellent researcher
• Great communicator
• Stellar interpersonal skills and networking abilities
• Provide help in critical situations
• Draft legal papers for real estate transactions
• Assess legal risk in real estate documentation paperwork or court filings
• Perform litigation of real property transaction
• Monitor legal risks
• Interpret real estate laws, rulings and regulations

Bankruptcy Specialty

• provide advice in the complexities of bankruptcy laws and counsel in reducing debt load by liquidating assets and paying creditors
• complete and file bankruptcy documents
• court room experience to present a debt-reorganization plan for court approval
• versed in the intricacies of bankruptcy law as well as performing well in court
• skilled in analysis, negotiation, finance, math and writing
• up-to-date in bankruptcy laws and current affairs
• bankruptcy litigation and transaction skills
