ORGANIZATION: DISTRICT REIGN FOOTBALL CLUB

The Social Media and Marketing Intern will work alongside District Reign Management to increase brand awareness, recruitment, and implement outreach and promotional campaigns through the usage of social media platforms and website management. We are looking for a talented, deadline-driven content administrator to manage our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. As the Social Media Intern, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our club’s mission and vision creatively.


  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with club goals
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Scheduling posts in advance throughout the month.
  • Monitor and analyze web traffic metrics to inform digital strategy
  • Collaborate with management to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Procur collaborations with other brands and influencers
  • Schedule and script weekly YouTube Live
  • Create, edit, and manage monthly newsletter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a social media manager
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Introductory knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Basic knowledge of soccer and club marketing
  • Knowledge of social media insights
  • Familiarity with web design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multitasking skills

Description

Founded in 2018, District Reign Football Club is a non profit soccer club that challenges the pay to play system in youth sports. Our goal is to become a competitive club in the DMV with our brand of development that uses a holistic approach and develops the player in 6 key areas. The tiers of Development focus on technical, tactical, physical, nutritional, psychosocial, and professional areas of growth. We aim to develop the whole player and how they approach obstacles in their everyday life by providing a disciplined and structured community of growth. We offer a U23, u19/17, and hopefully soon a U7 program.
