Food & Friends

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Food & Friends is looking for new volunteers, and this is the first step in getting there! We host multiple New Volunteer Orientations via Zoom every month to begin the onboarding process of our volunteers and to ultimately get them started volunteering with us, whether that be in our kitchen or delivering meals!

You can get started in just a few steps!

  • Visit to sign up for one of our New Volunteer Orientations (all virtual).
  • Attend orientation!
  • 24 hours after orientation, you'll receive an email to submit:
    • COVID-19 Vaccination proof to HR Team
      • Food & Friends is only allowing fully vaccinated individuals that have provided proof to volunteer
    • Background Check (19+ and up, covered by Food & Friends, 3-5 days for clearance)
      • MVR Clearance for those interested in deliveries
      • All volunteers must be 14 years or older to volunteer
    • Email to Volunteer Services Manager to get started!
We are excited to have you join the Food & Friends volunteer team! Have any questions? Reach out to for answers.

***This is the ONLY virtual opportunity at Food & Friends, and a requirement to begin volunteering. ALL volunteer opportunities are in person.***

***Food & Friends does not allow court-appointed community service and therefore will NOT sign off on those hours.***

See you soon!

Mission Statement

The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.

Food & Friends is the ONLY organization in the region providing home-delivered meals and groceries to children and adults battling HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses. Six days a week, our clients receive meals that are nutritionally specialized to meet their individual health needs.
