Food & Friends is looking for new volunteers, and this is the first step in getting there! We host multiple New Volunteer Orientations via Zoom every month to begin the onboarding process and get you started volunteering with us, whether that be in our kitchen or delivering meals.
You can get started in just a few steps:
- Visit https://foodandfriends.volunteerhub.com/ to sign up for one of our New Volunteer Orientations (all virtual).
- Attend an orientation.
- 24 hours after the orientation, you'll receive an email to submit:
- Motor Vehicle Clearance for those interested in deliveries
- Background Check (19+ and up, 100% free, 3-5 days for clearance)
- All volunteers must be 14 years or older to volunteer
We are excited to have you join the Food & Friends volunteer team! Have any questions? Reach out to volunteer@foodandfriends.org for answers.
***This is the ONLY virtual opportunity at Food & Friends and a requirement to begin volunteering. ALL volunteer opportunities are in person.***
***Food & Friends does not allow court-appointed community service and will NOT sign off on those hours.***
See you soon!

Mission Statement
The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.
Description
Food & Friends is the ONLY organization in the region providing home-delivered meals and groceries to children and adults battling HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Six days a week, our clients receive meals that are nutritionally specialized to meet their individual health needs. Our services are free of charge and based solely on the health status of those in need. With the help of more than 10,000 volunteers and thousands of generous donors, more than 1.8 million meals are delivered each year.
We believe in the power of compassion and the importance of neighbors helping neighbors, so we create opportunities for impactful and fulfilling volunteer service that helps our sick neighbors in need and builds a healthier community for all.
