Girls Inc. inspires girls to be Strong, Smart & Bold

Girls Inc. ensures that girls have the foundation necessary to break the cycle of poverty and achieve positive life outcomes. Girls need opportunities to grow and interact with other girls in environments where their unique interests and challenges are considered and valued in the design and implementation of programming. Girls Inc. provides that, as well as staff who are genuinely interested in and trained to work with girls.

Mission Statement

We believe in inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through fun, research based educational programming.

Description

We are an organization that provides gender specific programming to girls between the ages of 6 to 18 years of age through our afterschool centers and our outreach department. Girls Inc focuses on researching the needs of girls and then developing programs to help girls learn skills to meet these needs and over come barriers that girls face every day. Girls Inc develops programs to help girls in six main areas of their lives: health and sexuality, financial managment, sports and adventure, career and life skills, leadership and community action, and media. Our curriculi is broken down into age appropriate programs and help girls of all ages develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to be strong, smart and bold girls!
