Must be available to make a three minute informal speech at the next scheduled Board of Directors meeting.

The Parade Coordinator directs the overall planning and strategy of the annual pride parade. They will implement best practices and develop planning standards, policies and procedures. This includes the creation and approval of the final selection of parade route, entrant application process, theme and award policies and procedures. The coordinator will also review and approve all contracts and must ensure that each event stays within budget. They will ensure that all required licenses and permits are obtained prior to the event. The coordinator will form and manage a committee of volunteers to help create and manage the parade. The coordinator will communicate all marketing and volunteer needs to those committee directors for each event in a timely manner. The coordinator must give a monthly briefing to the executive board of their committee’s progress and intended events.

The individual for this position should be flexible, work efficiently under pressure, and possess the ability to communicate effectively orally as well as digitally. Take direction from multiple people and adapt to moving from one task to another efficiently. Should have the ability to create ideas into vision. Should have the ability to maintain relations with various individuals. Should have the ability to plan grand scheme events. They should also have the ability to develop a line item budget. This individual must be able to work well as a team member as well as a team leader. Must be proficient in the Google Platform (i.e. GMail, Google drive, Google calendar, Google meet, etc.)

The coordinator will be required to sign a Code of Conduct for the organization.
