Garner Area Ministries is a local 501(c)3 organization that assists low-income families with food, financial assistance for rent and utilities, and clothing. We are seeking a warm-hearted person to assist families in taking care of their needs. This person would also be in training for a period of at least 6 months in order to take over as Chair of the Board.

Mission Statement
Garner Area Ministries provides food, clothing and financial assistance to those in need in the Garner, NC area since 1981. We have a food pantry, thrift shop and assistance office which all rely on volunteers to help us in our mission.
Description
Covid was a big hurdle to our group last year. Our volunteers worked hard to keep help flowing, but now we need to replace those who did not return after their hiatus. We serve around a thousand families each year in some capacity, either in paying bills or providing food and clothing.
