A little bit more information on NAMI:
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI started with a small group of families in 1979 and has grown to include more than 500 local affiliates. The affiliate NAMI Delaware & Morrow Counties was started 20 years ago by a small group of volunteers who were committed to understanding and supporting their loved ones with mental illness. The dedication of these volunteers was the backbone of NAMI Delaware & Morrow Counties for many years. Today volunteers continue to be the heart of the organization and are supported now by a small, dedicated group of staff members. Through volunteer-led educational classes, support groups, and community programs NAMI Delaware & Morrow Counties has impacted and continues to affect the lives of countless individuals.
