Thank you for checking out this post! We are looking for people to share their mental health recovery experiences with others in order to instill hope, spread awareness and decrease the stigma against mental illness.
NAMI In Our Own Voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions and ideas about people with mental health conditions. No experience necessary. We will train you!
Here is some more info:
- Share your experience living with a mental health condition
- Each presentation has two presenters
- Days and time vary depending on the presentations that are scheduled.
- An online training is required. We’ll email you a link to the training.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI started with a small group of families in 1979 and has grown to include more than 500 local affiliates. NAMI of Delaware and Morrow Counties is one of those affiliates and we offer support groups, classes and presentations, like In Our Own Voice, to individuals diagnosed with a mental condition and their loves ones. At NAMI we believe that sharing experiences can be healing.
