JOIN OUR TEAM! Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County (HCMOW) is looking for volunteers to join us in packing and delivering meals to our clients throughout Hillsborough County.
HCMOW would not be able to do what we do without the outstanding service and commitment of our volunteers! Most volunteers offer their services on a weekly basis. The time period varies slightly from site to site, but kitchen volunteers are needed in the mornings and Meals on Wheels drivers are needed between 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Some routes take only about an hour and a half to deliver!
A few facts from our 2021 Meals on Wheels Volunteer Survey:
- 97% of respondents rated their MOW volunteer experience as EXCELLENT or GOOD
- 100% of respondents find the volunteer experience rewarding
- 68% of respondents were over the age of 60 years old

Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County fosters independence and life enrichment for seniors and other qualified adults through nutrition, social engagement, and community services.
Description
Our Story Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County began operations in 1977; in our first year, we provided 149,338 meals and safety checks, within 10 years the need for our services more than doubled, resulting in 277,382 meals and safety checks served in 1987.
Today, Meals on Wheels works with a licensed kitchen in the heart of Manchester, NH that produces over 7,000 nutritious meals each week. Meals are then delivered to numerous dining centers throughout Hillsborough County where they are sent out as Meals on Wheels to homebound, older, and disabled adults.
