Quick Overview: We are looking for a talented web designer that can help PS I Love You develop a new website.

Organization Mission: Founded in 1998, P.S. I Love You Foundation is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization specializing in producing and implementing effective Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs for youth in our communities. We deliver 12 week SEL progams taught during school hours by substituting Math or Science once a week for 12 weeks. Our goal is to positively influence youth's attitudes, thoughts, feelings and choices through life skills that develop self regulation, emotional resilience, health and well-being, social development and hope.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design, and be willing to work with our team to develop our website. They should have good user interface design skills in Wordpress.They will also work to keep the site up-to-date and prioritize page development, coordinate draft revisions of multiple pages, and manage the revisions and completions in a timely manner.
Review current in-development site, create a strategy to list and then coordinate the completion of all the pages and links.
Upgrade the site by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology if applicable; maintaining links, and making suggestions for improvements.
Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards, and editing submissions.
Leave a manual with instructions for other people on the team to be able to continue editing and updating the website.
Requirements:
Knowledge of web user interface design and web programming skills
Strong teamwork and verbal communication skills
Ability to use illustration tools and develop multimedia content
Experience working with nonprofits preferred but not required
Time Commitment:
2-3 hours per week.
