Spokane Valley Partners Food Bank is looking for some dedicated volunteers to distribute food at our mobile food distributions. There are positions open right now! We distribute Thursday afternoon in the south county and Friday afternoons in the Spokane Valley. This is a easy job lasting about 3 hours tops. Light work and very rewarding.

  1. Load/Unload - Ability to lift 50+ pounds. - While the pre-packed boxes are 20 to 25lbs, there may be other items that weigh more as packed. While it is not consistent, there may be occasions which require lifting of up to 50lbs.
  2. Set-up may involve the putting up of a table, placing flags/banners along with any cones or traffic control.
  3. Perform on-site intake as described.
    1. Intake needs to be performed as it does for on-site distributions.
  4. Distribute food and other goods as described.
    1. While each distribution includes a pre-packed box, there may be additional items to distribute. Produce, Dairy, Diapers and Other goods should be tracked as described.
  5. Decamp and pack up after distribution. After distribution is complete be sure to pack-up all that you set-up including Flags/Banners, Tables, Cones or traffic direction items and any goods left that were not distributed.
