The Treaty Elm was planted on Barclay Beach in 1915. Every year we maintain its tree ring by weeding and applying a fresh layer of wood chips. Work side by side mulching with horticulturist, Carol Wagner and help us give some TLC to one of our historical campus trees.
Our Tuesday Morning Volunteer Crew meets every other Tuesday at the Pole Barn (located inside of the Arboretum's greenhouse complex at Facilities Management). This dedicated group of volunteers goes to a new area of the garden each visit and works side by side with our knowledgeable staff to spruce up an area of campus. Parking for this opportunity is located at the Visitor Lot off of Woods Road, please allow 5/10 minutes to walk from parking to the greenhouse.More opportunities with Haverford College Arboretum
