Meals on Wheels of Northern Illinois is looking for compassionate, organized and all-around amazing volunteers to help out at our location in Lemont, IL. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organizations and your help can help us
The volunteer roles we have available are:
Meal Delivery Driver -- We are looking for 1-2 drivers to help deliver meals on Friday mornings. There are 10-12 deliveries on a route, which will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Meal Delivery Drivers are reimbursed for miles driven on their route. You must be 18 years of age or older OR be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday from 9:30am until 2pm (start and end times are flexible).

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.
At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
