Kayaking with Athletes who are Blind and Visually Impaired
ORGANIZATION: Northwest Association for Blind Athletes
Please visit the new page to apply.
Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a kayaking clinic for athletes who are blind and visually impaired. The program will include tandem kayaking at North Lake. We are looking for volunteers to assist in guiding our athletes through the water on kayak. Volunteers should have experience paddling, but it’s not necessary. If you love the water, and want to help others experience it as well, this is a wonderful way to get involved.

To provide life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
