The National Streetcar Museum at Lowell is open weekends from 11AM-4PM all year round and provides an opportunity for individuals and families to learn more about trolley cars as a mode of mass transportation through displays, interactive exhibits and hands-on play. This museum is a satellite location of the Seashore Trolley Museum, located in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The National Streetcar Museum is operated by the curator, Seashore Trolley Museum member Paul Castiglione, along with other Seashore volunteers and, at times, student interns supported by the National Park Service. Additional volunteers are needed on Saturdays and Sundays to keep the Museum supported at the proper level for the safety and convenience of our visitors. Minimal training is needed/required and will be provided by the curator who will certainly appreciate the assistance of additional volunteers.

Volunteers are needed any time during our 11AM-4PM hours on weekends. Masks are required inside the museum. On-street parking is free on Sundays and parking in the Visitors Center parking lot is free every day.

For more information on how you might help, please contact Seashore Trolley Museum Director, Katie Orlando, at director@trolleymuseum.org. Better yet, stop by the Museum at 25 Shattuck Street, Lowell, MA, talk with our volunteers and see for yourself what a great place this is.
