Pacific Symphony is the premier symphonic orchestra in Orange County, CA. Through exceptional musical performances, educational opportunities and community programming, Pacific Symphony inspires, engages and serves the Orange County community and Southern California region.

Like many nonprofit organizations, we love interns! We seek interns who are interested in growing professionally while experiencing the magic of orchestral music. We are looking for interns who want to advance their education and careers through contributing their time and talent to the advancement of music and arts programming in Orange County. Pacific Symphony interns reflect the diversity of interests and backgrounds that are found in our community.

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the marketing and communications department through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. The Graphic Design intern will report to the Graphic Designer and will assist with the development and design of core Pacific Symphony graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates.

The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing images to coincide with social and blog posts
  • Preparing images for website, print advertising, and digital marketing
  • Assisting with collateral updates and version control
  • Creating and updates to various sales collateral
  • Creating brochures and flyers
  • Other projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
  • Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop. Knowledge of video editing software is a plus.
  • Writing and proofing skills are also required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
  • Organized, dependable and detail oriented
