Fund Description

The GYCAF is seeking Programs and Research Interns . GYCAF is the first of its kind dedicated to financing youth-led climate action around the world and is seeking to expand its global team to include Programs and Research Interns.


GYCAF envisions a world where young people are given the resources to pursue green entrepreneurship and create a green economy with the goal of lowering carbon emissions and conserving the environment.


Role Summary

The Programs and Research intern will work with the programs team to design and implement program tasks per quarter and annual cycle. This will include building and strengthening partnerships to achieve the fund’s goals and targets.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out research and data analysis of youth projects in select regions as they relate to the organization's mission and programs, including policy research, and data analysis.
  • Work with programs coordinator to design and organize program objectives and outcomes including project management, event planning, and logistics.
  • Define and implement benchmarks for each program task implemented
  • Develop a worksheet that assesses existing funding streams for young people and improvements to be made for fund design and disbursement
  • Develop fund disbursement procedure and monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Participate in report writing and impact assessment of the fund’s performance for public records.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Engaging with stakeholders, including program participants, partners, and funders, to gather feedback and assess program effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments and team members to ensure effective program implementation and alignment with the organization's mission.
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform social media strategies and tactics.
  • Evaluation: Developing and implementing program evaluation plans to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Administrative tasks: Assisting with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and maintaining program databases.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Curious and willing to learn.
  • Aptitude for research and data analysis.
  • Experience in report writing and impact assessment.
  • Good organizational and presentation skills are preferred.
  • Team player and self starter.

Additional Information

Duration expected to run between 4-6 months

Location: Remote (Worldwide)

Timeline: Ideally we are looking for someone who can support us 15 hours per month
