Outreach Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Outreach Manager, the Outreach Assistant Manager will assist with the development, implementation and management of Outreach programs, including Friends of Random Acts, Kindness Heroes, and the Support Network. The Outreach Assistant Manager will support the Outreach Manager in the development of the team, and work with Random Acts Leadership and extended volunteer team to ensure all programs and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support the Outreach Manager in overseeing the involvement and participation of the Outreach team in Random Acts activities including, but not limited to:
  • overview of the Friends of Random Acts teams and ensure processes are supported appropriately and in a timely manner
  • development and maintenance of the Support Network
  • maintain and continually develop the Kindness Heroes program
  • support and engage in all Random Acts activities and programs
  • encourage all team members to participate in the Acts program and other Random Acts programs
  • Support the Outreach Manager in the development and management of the Outreach team and their programs
  • Line manage, motivate and support the development of the Outreach staff
  • To support the Outreach Manager in the day to day management of the Outreach programs
  • Work with the Outreach Manager to develop annual goals, supporting them to deliver these
  • Respond to emails, questions, etc. from coordinators.
  • Attend regular staff and departmental meetings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the aims and objectives of Random Acts
  • Experience of working for charitable causes or community engagement
  • Facilitation of online communities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under the policies and procedures of Random Acts
  • Good IT skills and ability to work with various applications (e.g. Excel, Podio, Google Docs, Zoom etc.)
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Regular access to the internet
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in a related field
