About Bernardine Franciscan Sisters, Mother Veronica Resource Center
449 S 6th Street, Reading, PA 19607, US
The Bernardine Franciscan Sisters, committed to their call to live the Gospel, established the Mother Veronica Resource Center in response to requests for assistance from Reading area immigrants. By providing various classes, tutoring and educational and social services resources for them and for all Reading area adults who come seeking a better way forward, the Center strives to improve the quality of their lives and enhance our community.
History: In 1894 four Bernardine Franciscan Sisters migrated from Poland to the United States with Mother Veronica Grzedowska as the leader of the group.
