The Role:

Are you an entrepreneurial marketer motivated by cause-related work? We are a Not-For-Profit seeking a Volunteer Marketing Director well versed in intent and digital marketing to help us achieve our ambitious goals. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for developing integrated marketing programs, combining a number of elements (media, digital, public relations, sponsorships, events, etc.). You will create and own the Marketing Strategy for the organization. This is a volunteer role that could become a full-time job, and an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of building something that will make our world a better place. We need you to:

The Marketing Director will play a key role in creating marketing programs and strategies, building the brand presence online and offline for the organization. If you live and breathe marketing and love intent and digital marketing, we want to talk to you. We are excited to grow our marketing department and social media presence to engage further with our clients, increase awareness of our programs and services, stay relevant and connected to them on a daily basis.

  • Strategize, create and manage digital campaigns to achieve conversions. Monitor and optimize their performance
  • Help manage the brand by being the key point of contact for the organization
  • Analysis/performance tracking: review own and other communities activities on a regular basis
  • Look for innovative ideas, concepts, and context to stay relevant, on-trend and inspiring to our customers
  • Deepen our online reach using data-driven, organic Search Engine Optimization tactics
  • Oversee our social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Create engaging content/updates to share with our internal and external partners and clients
  • Manage all public relations and press communication together with all stakeholders
  • Work closely with our graphic designer to generate marketing materials and brand assets
  • Maintain our WordPress website together with the web designer
  • Together with the team, identify insights that will unlock future engagements with clients
  • Manage yearly marketing budget, allocate funds to different activities, participate in the quarterly reviews

You Have:

  • 7+ years experience in traditional and digital marketing
  • A post-secondary degree
  • Must have interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity in dealing with diverse ranges of people
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to analyze data and create informed decisions
  • Worked with diverse internal and external teams to accomplish results
  • A proven track record and have the data to prove it
  • Experience with Hootsuite or similar programs is an asset
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset
