Volunteers wanted for TwainFest 2021: A celebration of the works of Mark Twain and other literary greats!

Please join us on Saturday, Aug. 20 in Heritage County Park and help guests enjoy literary performances, "meet" powerhouse authors of the past, and play literary and historical themed games. All volunteers will receive a free shift meal and a ticket to a future Write Out Loud performance. When: Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022 Volunteer shifts: Morning shift is full, only recruiting for 2:15-6:15 shift Where: Heritage County Park, 2454 Heritage Park Row, San Diego, CA 92110 Volunteer requirements: Volunteers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers will be required to follow CDC and San Diego County health and human service guidelines as of the date of the event. Mission Statement

Write Out Loud reads literature aloud for a live audience. Our regular season of programs takes place at Old Town Theatre in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and at the Dove Library in Carlsbad.


Description

Twainfest is a FREE celebration of Mark Twain and other writers of the 19th century. Great fun for all ages at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Hear works by Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Edgar Allan Poe and others, read aloud by San Diego actors.
