The Connecticut Hospice has adhered to all CDC recommendations for COVID19. All volunteers must follow guidelines.

Volunteers must wear masks.

Shifts available: Saturday: 1pm - 5pm, Saturday 5 pm-9pm,
Sunday 8 am- 1 pm, 1pm- 5 pm, 5pm--9 pm

Computer knowledge required.

A wonderful opportunity to get to know families of hospice patients and comfort them upon arrival.

    Shift ends at 1 p.m.
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 01:00 PM

Mission Statement

The Connecticut Hospice inaugurated hospice care in America in 1974. Since then, it has been the beacon and teacher of the growing hospice movement throughout the nation, and beyond. The Connecticut Hospice addresses physical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of patients with advanced irreversible illness, and their families. Such care is provided regardless of diagnosis and as long as the Hospice level of care is needed by the patients.

Description

As "America’s First Hospice" we have always set the national standard for palliative home care, hospice home care, and inpatient hospice care, and are distinguished by high quality, personalized care that includes services and therapies not covered by insurance or Medicare.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • One 4-hour shift per week for inpatient facility.
  • TB Testing (we provide), Health certification from MD., Flu shot required, Covid vaccine required, training, orientation
