ADMIN VOLUNTEERS
Role: To provide support to the Hospice staff that is Non-Clinical in a professional environment.
Responsibilities: Help organize and sort the hospice staffs work, reports, and ideas. Provide insight, follow directions, ask for assistance, and contribute to the work environment.
PATIENT VOLUNTEERS
Role: To provide social interaction and extra support to Hospice/CMP Patients and Families at Patients Residents.
Responsibilities: Assist Patient and Patient in Non-Clinical ways. This includes social interaction with patient and minimal house chores. Volunteers are to dress and act appropriately as they are representing the agency. Volunteers must complete orientation. Volunteers must effectively communicate boundaries and roles with Patient and Patients Family.
SHADOW VOLUNTEERS
Role: To assist either administrative or clinical staff by recording notes, times, or important reminders. The objective of the Shadow program is to expose volunteers to the clinical and administrative aspects of the agency.
CREATIVE / OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS
Role: Constructing creative projects that can be send out or conducted with patients or patients’ families to help reduce stress for patients and families.

SCHPi is a hospice and palliative care organization that brings hope, comfort and life-enriching care to those facing the end of life. We are looking for prospective volunteers in the area to bring a positive and genuine attitude to our program. Hospice volunteering is a great way to gain background in the healthcare industry while also being a part of a meaningful and rewarding experience.
Description
Our organization services the five counties surrounding Southern California. Hospice volunteers are a very important part of our organization; whether it is putting together patient handbooks or providing company to patients. We offer a variety of volunteer positions: Social, Administrative, and Patient.
