Do you have skills, knowledge or hobbies you’d like to share with the community?

Become a Coronado Public Library volunteer!

The Library is seeking adult and teen volunteers for a variety of exciting and fulfilling activities including but not limited to:

  • Presenting library programs
  • Teaching classes or workshops
  • Videography and film editing
  • Providing help to patrons in our Digital Media Lab
  • Participating in outreach and community engagement
  • Spanish speakers good with children who can lead our Spanish Storytimes (a once-per-week commitment)
  • Helping the Friends of the Library set up and run online book sales
  • Helping the Friends of the Library rebuild their website
  • Helping the Friends of the Library with uploading items to eBay (Tuesdays)
  • Helping the Friends of the Library clear out a storage space (one-time project for 15-20 people)

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
