It is the mission of the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina Inc. to make the world a better place for horses through education, rescue, and rehabilitation. HPS, a non-profit/501(c)3, provides a sanctuary of last resort for unwanted, neglected, starved and abused equines. Volunteers come from all walks of life. Some have many years of horse experience, others have never been around a horse in their life. No matter how much experience one has, each person has something to contribute. Our volunteers help with any number of chores, such as: cleaning stalls, filling water tubs, grooming the horses, feeding and medicating the horses, painting/repairing fences and stalls. Our horses need you to be a part of the solution! Visitors are welcome Saturday afternoons. Please visit our website at: http://www.horseprotection.org/ or call for additonal information, 704-855-2978.
