MENTOR VOLUNTEER

Take Stock in Children is recruiting volunteers to be a Mentor for children in our scholarship program. You will be matched with a student and meet with them on a weekly basis. Methods for sessions are In-person, Virtual(Zoom), using our App that allows App Chat or App Video or our Web Portal. The TSIC App allows App Chat(a type of texting format) and App video(presents like face time) so that there can be contact free meetings if needed. You will meet with your student weekly for 30 minutes and record sessions through the TSIC Portal or App. We background check all volunteer Mentors before acceptance to our program for the safety of the children. We offer resources to assist all new Mentors to include orientation. We can offer assistance with video recorded training and support available from the TSIC foundation. Many of our Mentors form long-lasting relationships with their students. The rewards from helping a child graduate High School and obtain admission into college is ever lasting.
