About Minds Matter Chicago

Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world. Our track record speaks for itself - 100% of Minds Matter students have been accepted into a four-year college or university.

At Minds Matter Chicago, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our mission. Given the diversity of the population we serve, different perspectives are not just encouraged but essential. We deeply value the varied backgrounds of our volunteers that help advance both our students and our organization as a whole.

"I would not be going to Harvard if it weren’t for Minds Matter. You’ve helped me keep strong when I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, and my mentors in particular, gave me something to believe in." -Mentee

The Role
