ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Tennessee Region

There are many ways you can help neighbors in need, including through our most-needed position: Disaster Action Team volunteer.

Every day people are forced from their home due to fires, storms or other disasters. Our Disaster Action Team volunteers respond day and night to meet the immediate needs of their neighbors. Assistance given may include financial provisions for food, clothing and lodging, emotional support, prescription medication, and other critically needed items.

Most home fires occur in the middle of the night, we need people who can get up in a flash to help displaced families who need a roof over their head and funding for food in their stomachs.
