Program Aide

The Palmdale City Library is looking for volunteers to come in on an as-needed basis, helping with program preparation and helping at events. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to complete repetitive tasks is necessary. A positive, helpful attitude is also desired. This will not be a regularly scheduled volunteer position, and is based upon differing programming needs throughout the year.

Your time investment will help us host successful programs for our patrons!

A successful Volunteer Programming Aide will have the ability to:

  • Prepare materials for programs in a timely manner.

  • Willingness to complete repetitive tasks such as cutting, sorting, and bagging items.

  • Follow written and verbal directions.

  • Think on their feet and exercise sound judgment.

  • Flexibility to help at events a plus.

  • Interact in a friendly, patient manner with a diverse range of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Comfortable working with and around children.
