Meals on Wheels of Northern Illinois is looking for friendly people to volunteer at our Senior Cafe at The Barn Senior Center in Schaumburg, IL.
Volunteers are needed Monday thru Friday (choose 1 day or more to help) between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Volunteers will help with setting up the dining room, greeting incoming seniors and asking health survey questions, serving food and drinks to participants, helping with games, ensuring that all social distancing guidelines are being followed and much, much more.
If you are able to help, we would love to have you join us!
When: Mondays thru Fridays beginning August 2nd.
Where: The Barn Senior Center

Schaumburg, IL
Times: 10am - 2pm
All volunteers must register and complete a background check.

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Join us for lunch!
Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.
At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
