Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) is seeking a volunteer (ages 21+) to be a FRIEND to Michael, a 26 yo man with disabilities living in Sharon and waiting to be matched in the Friend 2 Friend Adults with Disabilities Program. Michael has high functioning autism and is a very friendly and talkative person. He loves to learn and attends a college where he is taking classes in biochemistry. His organizational skills can create issues for him at school, but he works hard to complete all assignments. Michael has his own car and drives (but not into the city); he could meet his friend within towns between Sharon and Dedham areas. Michael likes going to movies, going out for lunch or dinner, or visiting museums. He has no medical concerns and enjoys having someone to listen to him. He has been fully vaccinated. Matthew would like a friend to hang out with, as he is socially isolated. Michael is Jewish, but a FRIEND of any religion would be great.

Friends create their own schedules and meet 1-2x/mo for at least a one-year commitment. Match support to help the match succeed provided by Clinical Match Specialists. Be a part of our JBBBS family and MAKE AN IMPACT on someone’s life.
