The Marketing and Public Relations specialists serve on the Communication Committee and assist Communication Chair and other team members in publicizing the activities of the Pinellas chapter to it's paid members, subscribers & followers, and the general public. Communication channels include:
- Website - www.pinellasnativeplants.org
- Facebook Page & Group - @pinellasfnps
- YouTube Channel for videos
- Monthly newsletter published with Mailchimp online platform
- Emails to members and followers about events via Mailchimp online platform and Gmail
- Paid Membership database maintained in Google Contacts and Mailchimp
- Subscriber database maintained in Mailchimp
- Events posted to website calendar and Facebook Events
- Volunteer opportunities posted on Volunteermatch.com
- Events and news shared with local media outlets (Creative Loafing, TBT, TBN, Tampa Bay Magazine, Patch, NextDoor, TV and radio stations)

Mission Statement
The Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1980. Its mission is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.
Description
The Pinellas Chapter has over 300 members and is one of the state's largest. We hold monthly meetings and field trips, workshops, special events and volunteer projects. In addition, we award grants to other organizations for projects that support our mission.
The public is welcome to participate in all Pinellas Chapter activities. Consult our program calendar on our website for upcoming events, directions and maps.
